The Rays have agreed to sign both Johnny Damon and Manny Ramirez.  To me this is very similar to what happened with the Miami Heat acquiring Chris Bosh and Lebron James.  Florida is definitely spending money on its athletes this season.  Johnny Damon’s deal is valued at $5.25 MM with the opportunity to see $750k in bonuses.  Ramirez signed on with an estimated $2MM.  Both Johnny Damon and Manny Ramirez are represented by Scott Boras.
