Forward Antawn Jamison has signed a one-year contract worth the veteran’s minimum with the Los Angeles Clippers. Jamison doesn’t have to move far now that he’s a Clipper, he played for the Los Angeles Lakers last season and averaged 9.4 points and 4.8 rebounds. As he gets closer and closer to hanging the jersey up he wanted to play for a champion caliber team in the final years of a 15-year career in which he has averaged 18.8 points and 7.6 rebounds.
Jamison has a tough injury plagued season with the Lakers, playing through torn wrist ligaments for almost the entire second half of his last season with the other L.A. team. The 37-year-old Jamison likely will surpass 20,000 career points early next season.
