Former wide receiver Chad Johnson has found himself in trouble with the law again, this time a little less serious than last. A warrant was issued for Johnson’s arrest in South Florida after he failed to report to his probation officer, according to the state attorney’s office.
A Broward circuit issued the warrant on May 7, but it’s just now making news. Johnson was sentenced to a year of probation last September after he entered a plea of no contest to a domestic violence charge involving his former wife, reality TV star Evelyn Lozada.
He was arrested last year in August after head-butting Lozada during an argument, which caused him to lose his spot on the Miami Dolphins roster. Lozada filed for divorce almost immediately after and had it finalized before he was even convicted. They had only been married since July 4th.
