Clippers President Andy Roeser Takes Leave Of Absence

Clippers President Andy Roeser

Los Angeles Clippers President Andy Roeser has decided to take an indefinite leave of absence following the lifetime ban of owner Donald Sterling. The NBA released a press release last week announcing that they were working with the Clippers to pick a new CEO for the team.

NBA spokesman Mike Bass says in a statement Tuesday that Roeser’s leave of absence, which begins immediately, “will provide an opportunity for a new CEO to begin on a clean slate and for the team to stabilize under difficult circumstances.”

NBA Commissioner Adam Sliver recently banned Sterling for life after his comments about African-Americans and is urging the other owners to force him to sell the team.
