Lebron James Picked As Music Curator For ‘NBA 2K14’



After being honored by appearing on the cover of the upcoming “NBA 2K14,” 2K Sports have made Lebron James the curator of the new video game too. 

2K broke the news on Friday and said that the NBA champ has already chosen 20 songs for the soundtracks of the eagerly awaited game. James followed up their announcement by releasing his own statement saying he is beyond honored to be the first cover athele in history to allow also choose songs for the soundtrack.

“2K is letting me take control of some important elements in NBA 2K14, including this year’s soundtrack,” James said. “I love that I’m the first NBA 2K cover athlete to choose the soundtrack.”

Some of the song’s slated to appear on ‘NBA 2K14’s” soundtrack are Drake’s “Started From The Bottom,” Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight,” Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky,” featuring Pharrell Williams and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “Can’t Hold Us,” with Ray Dalton.  Jay-Z, Coldplay, Robin Thicke, The Black Keys, Eminem, Fly Union, Gorillaz, Imagine Dragons, Jada Kiss, John Legend, Kanye West, Rick Ross, Kendrick Lamar, Nas and Diddy are also expected to appear on the game’s soundtrack.

“NBA 2K14” goes on sale October 1st.
