Minnesota Timberwolves center Kevin Love and Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant announced that they will be suiting up for Team USA once again. The NBA legends in the making broke the news during the national team’s minicamp practice while standing alongside team managing director Jerry Colangelo and head coach Mike Krzyzewski. Love committed to coming back during the impromptu news conference while Durant told Coach K. he’ll be coming back Tuesday night.
These young stars are no stranger to the national team, having both been members of the United States men’s national basketball team that won the gold medal in the 2010 world championships and last year in the London Olympics. Durant famously set an incredible record for the most points scored in an Olympic basketball tournament with 156 at London.
