Three College Football Bowl Games Primed For Big Totals

The college football bowl season is here, and it will mark the final time that fans get to enjoy the action without the presence of a playoff system determining the match ups. Regardless of which side of the coin you are on in terms of preferring the current model or the new playoff system, the BCS has created some intriguing match ups for this upcoming bowl season, including three games that promise plenty of offense, and all of the totals available to bet on with the best online sportsbook.

Tostitos Fiesta Bowl

#15 Central Florida Knights vs. #6 Baylor Bears

No offense put up more points this season than Baylor, which averaged a ridiculous 53.3 points per game. The Bears are coming off their best season in school history, and head coach Art Briles’ work with quarterback Bryce Petty is a big reason for it. Petty has thrown for 3,844 yards and 30 touchdowns with only two interceptions, and he is primed for another big performance against this UCF defense. The Knights have some capable offensive stars of their own including quarterback Blake Bortles, and they averaged just over 33 points per game this season. The Baylor defense isn’t going to completely stop them, so this game will come down to which offense goes off for the bigger total, and it’s unlikely the Bears’ offense will be slowed down much in this contest. Briles deserves a ton of credit for the work he has done with his quarterbacks over the years, and Petty is bound for another huge game as Baylor wraps up its most successful season with a win.

Valero Alamo Bowl

#10 Oregon Ducks vs. Texas Longhorns

The Ducks will end another disappointing season watching the BCS National Championship game rather than playing in it, as both Stanford and Arizona caused them to stumble. However, Oregon still has a chance to make a statement in the Alamo Bowl, and unlike in their two losses they aren’t playing a dominant defense against Texas. The Longhorns gave up an average of more than 25 points per game this season, and they don’t have the pieces to slow down Marcus Mariota and a Ducks’ offense that averaged close to 50 points per game. What Texas does have is an offense that should be able to put up some points of its own, so look for this to be another high-scoring contest with the odds available at http://sportsbook.lowvig.ag/.

Chik-Fil-A Bowl

#24 Duke Blue Devils vs. # 21 Texas A&M Aggies

Johnny Manziel’s final college football game should feature plenty of offense, as the 21st-ranked Texas A&M takes on No. 24 Duke. Manziel threw for 3,732 yards and 33 touchdowns, adding another 686 rushing yards and eight scores in his senior year, and the Aggies owned the nation’s sixth-highest scoring offense. The Blue Devils did little to slow down FSU in the ACC Championship game when they gave up 45 points, and their offense should be able to bounce back and put up a good number of points against an Aggies’ defense that was a big part of their downfall this season.
